Does this sound familiar?

Great in the gym. Gone on game day.

You have watched your kid do it in practice. Then the whistle blows and it disappears. That is not a talent problem. It is a training problem, and it is fixable.

Freezes with a defender on them

Looks comfortable in practice, looks lost in a real game with real defenders.

Gets sped up and panics

Rushed shots, bad passes, head down. They have the skill, but under pressure they get flustered and make bad decisions instead of playing with confidence.

Trained moves they never use

Hours on combo dribbles that will not translate into their team's system.

Will not hear it from mom or dad

Even though you see what the issue is, you are "just mom or dad." It does not resonate. You need an outside voice you trust to speak into your child.

Pure Basketball trains the game your kid actually plays. Not a reel they see online. Their role, their reads, their reps.

How we train

Built around the role your kid plays

Coach Isaiah learns how your kid's team plays and what their coach asks of them. Then he builds the sessions out of those exact situations: the angle they have to take, when to initiate contact, how to read the help-side defender. Game-like reps, even in a one-on-one session.

01

Fundamentals, done right

Footwork, shooting form, ball handling. Technique first. Quality reps beat quantity every time.

02

Intensity

Once the technique holds, the speed goes up. The same skills, at game pace, under fatigue.

03

A defender and a decision

Live reps in the situations they find themselves in the game. This is where it transfers, and where most training stops short.

Programs

Small groups first. Privates second.

The small group is where the game transfers: real defenders, real decisions, and a coach close enough to fix the detail. Private sessions go deeper on one athlete's role.

What a membership is

More than an hour in the gym

Skill work on the court, the mental side of the game, and mentorship between sessions.

01 · Mentorship

A coach for the whole player

Coach Isaiah coaches your kid on and off the court, and the conversations go deeper than basketball. He started on varsity, made all-region, then played in college and professionally. He knows what it takes because he has done it.

02 · Relatability

He has been where your kid is

Isaiah fought through his own stretches of low confidence and mental toughness. He knows the frustration of working hard and not seeing it show up in games, so he meets your athlete right where they are.

03 · Life skills

It carries past basketball

Diligence, discipline, hard work, faith, humility, selflessness, being coachable, and taking criticism without getting defensive. Their life will continue even after their last game.

Straight answers

Questions parents ask

Is this only for Christians?

No. Pure Basketball welcomes every family who has a child looking to grow in their game. Our method of training is grounded in biblical principles and we love to have conversations with those who are open to knowing more about Jesus. Our sessions are about developing players in character and skill.

We are in season. Can we still train?

Yes. Middle schoolers keep training in the 5 to 6 PM small groups during their season. High school athletes train 1-on-1 during their season, which is what Arizona AIA rules allow, and those sessions are booked around practices and games.

How big are the groups?

Eight athletes is the hard maximum and six is the sweet spot. The court is a private indoor full court, so once a session is full the calendar closes it. A free trial takes one of those spots, so please cancel ahead of time if you cannot make it.

What if my kid is not very good yet?

Most kids who come in are missing fundamentals or cannot use their skills under pressure. That is exactly what the program is for. What matters is that your kid is willing to be coached and to work.

What is the cancellation policy?

Same-day cancellations are charged. Cancel before the day of the session and the spot goes back to another athlete at no cost. The policy is in your booking confirmation and in our Terms.

What should we bring?

Basketball shoes, a water bottle and a ball of your kid's size if you have one (size 6 under 7th grade). Arrive five minutes early. The court is private, so the parking details come with your confirmation.
